The Maltipoo is a hybrid breed that emerged in the United States at the beginning of the 21st century, the result of a cross between a Poodle and a Maltese. This mixture sought to combine the intelligence and hypoallergenic coat of the Poodle with the sweet and affectionate character of the Maltese. Since then, the Maltipoo has gained popularity thanks to its small size and friendly nature.

The Maltipoo is known to be an affectionate, cheerful and easy to train dog. Its temperament makes it ideal for families of all types, including those with children or elderly people, as it adapts well to different environments and lifestyles.

Small size, usually weighing between 2.5 and 7 kg, with a height varying between 20 and 35 cm.

Smooth and Curly Coat: Its coat can be curly or slightly wavy, inherited from the Poodle, and is hypoallergenic, making it ideal for people with allergies. It can have coats in a variety of colours, including white, cream, apricot, and darker shades such as black or grey.

They are very sociable, affectionate and playful dogs, which makes them excellent companions for families, couples or elderly people.

Intelligent and Easy to Train: Thanks to the Poodle influence, they are intelligent dogs and respond well to training, especially when positive reinforcement methods are used.

Although they are active and enjoy playing, their exercise needs are not excessive, and they can adapt well to life in a flat.

They have an average lifespan of 12 to 15 years, depending on their health and care.
